Reviews:

Vince Clarke, one of the best songwriters ever

Critics often said that Vince Clarke only changed his line - up but never his music. Partly true, as everything from the early Depeche Mode works to The Assembly, To Yazoo and Erasure, surely has Clarkes trademark synths. But undoubtedly Vince Clarkes catchy melodies is only one layer of him. The Best Of Yazoo reveals a variety of moods, from a very dark "Winter kills" to the cheerful "Don't go". Even though the synthesizers used on the recordings are truly outdated and almost "childish" in sound, the compositions as such are full of contemporary music - as good today as it was back then.

Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet, who became "Invisible" for almost 2 decades after her solo single in 1985, are a win/win situation.

A must have!!!!!!
