Reviews:

FOOL AGAIN IS BRILL!

THIS WESTLIFE SONG IS DIFFERENT 2 THE 1 ON THE ALBUM BUT I LOVE IT. I ALSO LOVE THE B SIDE "TUNNEL OF LOVE" THIS WAS A RECORD BREAKING SINGLE IT WAS THEIR 5TH CONSECUTIVE NUMBER 1 AND I BET THEIR 6TH GOES TO NO 1 TO...I HOPE. THEY R REALLY GOOD SINGERS THEY SOUND SO GOOD LIVE. I WILL BE SEEING THEM LIVE AT MANCHESTER IN 2001.

UK No.1 Boyband Back With Another Hit Ballad

What can I say? After the lyrically stunning "Flying Without Wings", Westlife is back with yet another perfunctory love ballad. This is not to say that it is a lousy single. On the contrary, it is highly listenable, with the right dose of pathos thrown in. The Year 2000 Remix version doesn't sound much different from the version included in the pop group's debut CD album. Like all their previous music videos, the one shot for "Fool Again" is nothing but (sorry, guys) bland. Somehow they are not able to elevate their music videos to the same standard as that achieved by fellow boybands like the Backstreet Boys or N'Sync, i.e. sleek and highly (and I stress "highly") watchable. The big surprise in this CD single, in my opinion, has got to be the new song entitled "Tunnel Of Love". I had actually expected it to be yet another slow number, only to be pleasantly surprised to be hit by a mid-tempo track. Maybe Westlife can consider releasing "No, No" (arguably the truly heart-thumping number in their album) as their next single (if there is one). Why? To break the monotony of releasing one slow or mid-tempo track after another, of course!
