There's nobody funnier to-day than Weird Al. I have been a fan since the first song I heard on Dr. Demento, "School Cafeteria To-day." This album is the best he's done, and I've got them all. many are almost as good, and only "Alapalooza" was an absolute bomb, but this is a leap above everything else. "Fat," "Lasagne," "Good Old Days," are 3 I can be heard singing around the job site where I work. At a relative's wedding recently, when the band played "Mony Mony," I was singing Weird Al's words, "Alimony." Nobody noticed, an if they did they would have just thought I'd had one to many to drink. but the best of all is "Melanie." that's my wife's name, so I sing this at our house whenever things ae getting a little dull. She's heard it so many times that now all I have to do is hum the first few bars, without the words, and she knows I'm considering singing that song again. this is the best work of a great man.

Melanie=killer song

Buy this album. It is very good through and through. The highlight, and I'm not joking or being ironic, is the song "Melanie". Al struts his truly audacious melodic sensibilities with this number, replete with triple vocal harmonies and Ginsu-sharp hooks. And again, I'm not kidding. I am a lover of good music-Beatles, Wilco, Throbbing Gristle, etc-and I can,in good conscience, say that "Melanie" is one of my favorite pop songs of all time. For real folks.
