Reviews:

2 hip, energetic songs mixed with a catchy single

The single El Scorcho is a great cd, combining nice melodies while mixing in the ever-so-popular catchy lyrics and tunes. Though relatively expensive ($20+ new, $10+ used), this cd is a must have for any weezer fan. Devotion and You Gave Your Love to Me Softly are classic weezer songs, they are catchy and hip. If you have any of the other weezer singles, or cds you'd want to purchase this cd and while you're at it purchase the Good Life single, it's just as good.

Track 2 is why you should really buy this cd.

First things first. You Gave Your Love To Me Softly is my absolute favorite song by Weezer. It clocks in at just under 2 minutes but what a fun ride it is. It's an absolute barnstormer of a song, fast(for Weezer) and unrelenting, I'm pretty sure it's the most energetic track ever released by Weezer. Also, I think the version of the track on the Angus soundtrack is a different mix but I could be wrong.

Everyone already knows El Scorcho is a great Weezer song or else you wouln't be considering buying this single. Moving on is Track 3, Devotion. Devotion is downright comatose compared to track 2. However, after a few listens, it really grew on me, don't give up on it if you don't like it at first.

You should buy this for track 2 alone. A 3-star single without it.

i havent heard it but ...

el scorcho is one of my favorite weezer songs so i know it will be good . plus ANYTHING weezer rocks ! and the review above me said there are 3 fl cds but their are four , i would reccomend pinkerton !

Worth the money for two excellent Pinkerton era b-sides

'Devotion' and 'You Gave Your Love To Me Softly' are both great weezer songs. 'Deovotion' has a sort of Brian Wilson on grunge feel to it, while 'YGYLTMS' is uptempo with roaring guitars and a whole lot of energy.

A must own for hard core weezer fans.

=W= Weezer's El-Scorcho

This cd is obviously a very wise buy. It is out of print and only a number remain left. It not only has a full version of El Scorcho (hit on Pinkerton) but live tracks as well. And when you live in a town with not too much popularity, live imports are as good as you get. So go ahead, order this import, buy a poster, and sit down and listen to some good ol geek rock!!
