Reviews:

Good choices for flick

Although I wouldn't buy multiple cd's of the artists listed here, the collection they have is a good one. Mixes classics with heavier songs - reminiscent of how John Cusack creates a sound for Grosse Pointe Blank; Jack Black is in every piece. Only weakness: the No Vacancy pieces are a far cry from the good Adam Pascal music. If No Vacancy was on your hit or miss list, check out Adam's cd's (Civilian or Model Prisoner). Overall, nice choices that represent the film.

song plz

hey do you know the name of that song at the end of the movie. The one at the battle of the bands . the one that jacks old band was playing. ive been searching for that song everywhere its amazing.

m/ Rock On! m/

I bought this album the day before yesterday, simply because I hadn't seen it anywhere else and it was the soundtrack to my favourite movie.

I've only had a few quick listens, but highlights are already forming within my mind. These incl.

"Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks (a great scene in the movie),

"My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down" by The Ramones &

"It's A Long Way To The Top" by the School Of Rock band.

The dialogue acting as intervals on the soundtrack are funny, but I don't really see the purpose as it is just as accessable on the DVD (and there you'll also have moving pictures to accompany it! :) ).

The No Vacancy song "Heal Me, I'm Heartsick" (which by the way, Kid Reviewer, is your song plz that you've been searching for everywhere) I'm not sure about. It sounds alright, but as Jack mentions in the movie- "they're just posers". Basically, sounds ok, but (as you can hear from the rest of the soundtrack) not real music.

Overall, very good rock soundtrack... although, I'm still wondering why the producers decided to cut Iron Man and Smoke On The Water... perhaps a bit too cliche.
