Great bands and a great CD! 5 star tribute album!

I love this CD and I have discovered so many great bands that participated on this tribute. Every cover is great, and in the booklet it has the websites for all the bands who contributed a track. I started checking out their websites and I have found a ton of really cool bands! So I have to give this one 5 stars - this will definitely make any Elliott Smith fan happy. Also a portion of all proceeds benefits the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund so it helps a good cause too! Two thumbs up!

i love all the covers!

I am a big fan of tribute albums and "covers" anyway, but some are great and some are horrible. I took a chance on this Elliott Smith tribute and I am glad I did - I love all the covers! Very unique takes, especially "The Enemy Is You" by a band from Japan - that is my favorite right now but they are all good!

this is a pretty great CD!

I just got this tribute to Elliott Smith and I was surprised at just how good it was! I have been listening to it in the car for the past week and it is a rare CD that I can just listen to straight through without skipping any tracks - and thats just what I have been doing with this one! I especially like the covers of "Ballad of Big Nothing" and "The Enemy Is You", but the others are solid and this is a really cool CD to relax to. I have to give it 5 stars because I was really surprised at how good it is!
