Great soundtrack but wrong dates!

I grew up in the 80's loving the music and it was great to hear some of those songs again when watching the movie. However, for those of us who did grow up during that time should clearly remember that those songs were released well before the year that they are claiming Jenna is 13. On her school photo, you can see the year to be 1987 but the music chosen was primarily released between 1981 and 1984. I knew something seemed odd and even backed up the movie to look at the year again that was printed on her school photo. Why don't the movie execs pay closer attention to the actual music of the time they're trying to potray. All of that aside, the songs chosen were great and truly were a "blast from the past"!

i want thriller

Argh! Where is Thriller?? Thriller is absolutely an EXTREMELY important song in this movie. Good grief. Nevertheless, I still recommend this soundtrack if you enjoy 80s music. Besides the ghastly lack of Thriller, it is a good compilation of songs.

the best soundtrack ever!

i got this after i got the movie and this is the best soundtrack ever! it has some cool songs like love is a battlefield and jessies girl. My all time favorite is pat benatar "love is a battlefield" if you like this movie you have to get this cd!
