Reviews:

The Perfect Love Song album

This album is the perfect comtemplation of Vanessa's songs. I love this album.

Her best songs

This is the perfect cd. Every song is wonderful. The selection of songs are a perfect complement to each other. This is her showcase CD.

Love Bound Soulfully

It is just so surprising that we often seem to forget about certain artists based on what should be considered hip. It doesn't even surprise me as a average square who might know a thing or two about women in the music industry. Yet, we already have seen overexposed sexual preludes from Janet Jackson and our current manufactured Madonna, Britney Spears, all the way to the Latin Milli Vanilli, Jennifer Lopez. Yet, with all those bumps in the road, there are some divas that people absolutely seem to forget about. Arguably, Vanessa Williams is just one of them. Still, she has been absent from actually conjuring a new studio album for quite some time. Nevertheless, she has something that those hoochies in the industry don't even come close to having, a elegantly conjured voice. She still has something that is worth listening to that does continue to speak itself well.

The 2004 Love Songs collection, isn't actually a collection of Vanessa's greatest love songs, like I originally thought of. Still, the album does contain a trio of songs that were unreleased to the U.S. public. The songs definitely bring out something very well made from Vanessa Williams and her voice. From the newly just released songs, Alfie, the seductive Easy Listening track April Fools, and the R&B inspired track Love Like This. There are also so many other good songs added to the mix, including the #1 song, Save The Best For Last, and Dreamin' as well. The downside is that a vast number of songs are missing from this record that could've been used, including Love Is with Brian McKnight, The Sweetest Days, My Flame, and a handful of other songs should've been added here as well. Still, there isn't a whole vast number of people out there who wants to hear Vanessa Williams in this ageism, cold-hearted, and manufactured music industry.

Still, many people may decide to pass this record up, but it is definitely worth listening to. Especially, for some die hard Vanessa Williams fans. If you are one of those, this collection is worth hearing, while all those manufactured fanatics can begin to listen to a real diva all over again.
