Her Olympic Performance Is Proof -- Amorosi is great!

I've never bought an album just because I was impressed by a singer -- this is an exception. The price is discouraging at first, but there are 10 original tracks and 3 remixes that are consistently of high quality. Not only does Amorosi have a great voice (no studio magic), she takes credits on most of the songs as having written them. There is a perfect mix of jumpy and soft songs on this album, some even have quite an edge. For me the tracks that jump out are "Absolutely Everybody," "The Power," and the remix of "Pray For Love." If you like this, I highly recommend Amorosi's single for "Have a Look" because it has a great remix as well as "Heroes Live Forever" (from the sydney games). If you search carefully you can find 30 second previews of some of the songs on this album either from other amazon listings or searches elsewhere. All I can say is that there are no filler songs on this album and Amorosi truly holds her own vocally. Oh, and just fyi, there is a bit of bad language, such as the "b" word but it is entirely in the context of the song and not offensive at all. Some of the songs on this album are SO inspiring, it is a purchase you won't regret if you find yourself humming to pop songs but wish there was more legitimate talent out there -- Amorosi is that talent!

Strong Voice!

I recently went on a 3 week trip to Australia where every day they played Vanessa's Everybody song in the morning to wake us up. All 40 of of jumped and jived to her powerful voice. Be careful if you are buying the Cd for a certain song because some of her Cd's for instance carry the everybody song in normal format. Some have it so that if you pop the Cd in your computer you can watch the music video, but not listen to the song normally. Otherwise I urge you to get this wonderful CD!

The Best CD ever

This is quite possibly the best CD I have ever owned, and Absolutely Everybody is the best song in the world.

First of all I'd better point out that I own the British version of this CD.

U R Mine- God, but gets monotonous after a while

Absolutely Everybody- fantastic summer pop, feel-good tune and a fanastic voice

Shine- Lovely ballad, while some deep lyrics

I Wanna Be Your Everything- Good. This grows on you

How Y' Livin'- Ditto

Everytime I Close My Eyes- Great ballad which brings out Vanessa's great low RnB voice, which is so different from her pop voice

Pray For Love- Great summer pop

The Power- Very similar to Absolutely Everybody, and almost as good

Steam- Not on the international album, a ballad quite similar to shine.

Turn To Me- Very, very fast paced pop, and a great song too.

You Were Led On- My least favorite song, but its not bad.

Have A Look- fanatstic. Vanessa sounds great on this one, particularly with her cries of 'baby!' I love this song

Get Here If You Can- I think that's what its called, but its hidden, and not listed on the sleeve. A poppy cover of the Barbara Dickson "You can get here by sailboat etc etc" song, its great.

Vanessa Amorosi has a brilliant voice, along with super songs. But now I've heard she's no longer releasing in Britain!
