Description: There are those who will claim that this double-disc best-of is worth its price based on the inclusion of three new songs alone, and given their smolder, it's hard to argue with them. First single and disc one opener "Open Arms" is a stuff-strutting affair, with the leggy rock icon letting loose a vocal torrent to prove that in Tina years 60 is the new 25, not the new 40, and "Complicated Disaster" and "Something Special" don't sit uneasily alongside disc mates like "Typical Male" and "We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)." Undiminished vocals and still-vital rock instincts aside, though, the reason to pick up this anthology is its classics. Unlike 1991's
Simply the Best which pulled from 1983 till then,
All the Best reaches back to 1966 for the soul-steeped "River Deep Mountain High" and chugs through the decades, dipping into the '70s for the Ike'd-up hit "Nutbush City Limits" and hanging around the '80s and '90s for the bulk of 33 tracks. "Proud Mary," a 1993 rendition, keeps on burning, and "Private Dancer" and "What's Love Got to Do With It" land as seductively on the ears as ever, but the lesser-known numbers don't lack for heat either: too many spins of swamp-rocker "Steamy Windows," for example, may require new wiper blades.

Reviews:
A big piece of music history
The one and only rock'n'roll diva in the world showed on this profuse double CD hits collection that she is one of the most important artists in history of music.
This collection contains 33 songs from five different decades. What a heritage! And all these songs sound here even better than ever. Every song is a great lesson of music, especially for many expressionless teenage sensations dominating on charts.
We can find on this album absolutely the biggest hits of Tina with some brand new tracks as well. But there are pros and cons, like always in compilations. Let's begin from bad news.
- Tina's record company instead of unfortunately little hits on charts: "I Can't Stand The Rain", "Paradise Is Here" and "Something Beautiful Remains" should put on this collection much bigger: "Look Me In The Heart", "It Takes Two" (a duet with Rod Stewart) and "Whatever You Want". Especially a lack of the latter is controversial, because it launched Tina's flirtation with electronic sounds on her best album "Wildest Dreams" and for me personally is her best song ever.
- Besides there shouldn't be any album versions of her hits, because they are longer and take back a place for Tina's Grammy-winning hit "One Of The Living" from the "Mad Max III: Beyond Thunderdome" soundtrack and beautiful ballad hit "Way Of The World" from her earlier compilation "Simply The Best".
- And "Proud Mary" should be presented in classic Grammy-winning version from the 70's.
After these very important corrections it would be a perfect collection. Maybe in another edition. We'll see.
And now it's time for good news.
- Above all we can find here three completely new songs of legendary diva, especially "Open Arms" and amazing "Complicated Disaster".
- Another treasures are: massive European hit "Cose Della vita" (a duet with Eros Ramazzotti) and her first song recorded in 21st century "Great Spirits" from Disney's "Brother Bear" soundtrack - both released first time ever on Tina's own album,
- And very good known from album "Tina Live In Europe" hits: "Tonight" (a duet with David Bowie) and "It's Only Love" (a duet with Bryan Adams) are presented here in studio versions, also first time ever on Tina's own album.
Like you see, it's a good compilation of excellent music. In general it's a compulsory title in music collection of absolutely every fan of music all over the world and at every age!
Absolutely the Best!
As a HUGE Tina fan for many years now, I'm thrilled to see any new Tina material surface. The line-up of this two-disc set would make any star proud. From "River Deep" to "What's Love" to "Steamy Windows" and "The Best", You hear Tina in all her blazing emotional glory. What's wonderful here is that her new material holds well when stood alongside with her classics. "Open Arms", while not too thrilling at first listen, has become a favorite of mine. Her work has reached a certain maturity and elegance quite becoming to her. Some older favorites are missing, but it would be hard to please everyone. This is a wonderful compilation, and a MUST for any rock fans' library.
YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!
I am so pleased to see Tina release a new album. I think with this album Tina gets to offer something to everyone that listens to her music. For people that like her high energy rock vocals there is Steamy Windows, The Best, and the new song Complicated Disaster. For those that like her more smooth melodic songs there is On Silent Wings w/Sting, Private Dancer, and Something Special. I can honestly say that I could not find a bad track on this album. All of the tracks are amazing. Even her new songs incorporate well with her older standards. This is truly Tina at her best!!!
