glasswerk review

Taken from their recent Greatest Hits, The Rolling Stones release a new single 'Don't Stop'. From the first strum to Jagger's impressive drawl this is typical Stones, all feet-stomping blues infused with country influences. Praised for their longevity and a guarantee for filling up arenas on their stadium tours, this song sounds like it was written to be performed on such a platform. For a supposed soul song it has very little soul. The Rolling Stones: please stop.

One More Hit

A great song in a great tradition. This single CD version includes a remix of Miss You along with two versions of Don't Stop, a radio edit version of the 40 Licks album track and a New Rock Remix version that is 31 seconds longer. It's a great song that all of us Stones collectors have to add to the shelf. There is a UK 7" vinyl due out Dec 1st too.

Stones Still Rolling On

After some four decades in the business, the Stones prove that they can still tear off a nice Keith Richards-riff-driven little rocker when they want to, and "Don't Stop" shows that they can still rock with the best of them. For those who don't need all the tracks on "Forty Licks", this one is a good choice, offering both the radio edit and the longer version of "Don't Stop", along with an extended mix of "Miss You" from the "Some Girls" era. As long as the Stones keep rolling, the world is a better place. Highly recommended.
