For any casual fan this is more then enough. For a little more then a casual fan this is just right. Not many people would think of the doors deserving this many of their songs on a compilation. Sure they were one of the greatest bands of all time, but do they really deserve 34 songs? I mean they arent considered a top 5 rock band or top 10 or even top 20. As for any really hard core doors fan who enjoys almost all of their songs, like i do, this isnt good. But For a fan like that, u already know that every one of the original albums is what u should u bye. But i dont need to say that, do i. This is really an amazing compilation, although there are a ton more great doors songs.

truly the absolute best

if you have never heard this band, what are you waiting for? go ahead and get this cd, it has all of their best songs on it. My favorite disc is the second one, because personally I don't like their self-titled album as much as most people do. If you like it though, you are in for a treat, because all the songs except for 3 are included from it. you cannot miss this great deal, especially with songs like "roadhouse blues" and "riders on the storm" or "waiting for the sun." The cds both flow wonderfully, making The Doors a musical experience with no comparison. Diehard fans might have quibbles, but for someone who just wants all of their best stuff, look no further than this collection. You might also want to pick up Morrison Hotel, their most consistent cd with lots more great songs besides the ones included here.
