Reviews:

Amazing 5 stars

I love this album, theres so many wonderful songs on it. I love Holiday, and Every christian lion hearted man will show you. And it's good the original and much better than Janis joplin's version, To Love Somebody. BUY IT!!

Americans,meet the Bee Gees!

In 1964,the British Invasion began with the superstar bands The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Three years later came The Bee Gees. Originally, they were a quintet consisting of three Manchester,England brothers named Barry,Robin and Maurice Gibb. Colin Petersen and Vince Melouney were supporting the Gibbs on bass guitar and drums. The group's first hits were NEW YORK MINING DISASTER 1941,TO LOVE SOMEBODY,HOLIDAY and I CAN'T SEE NOBODY. All later appeared on the compilation GOLD on the RSO(Robert Stigwood Organization) label, released in 1976. All but the latter track appeared on the ultimate compilation THEIR GREATEST HITS-THE RECORD,released in 2001. CUCUMBER CASTLE became another one of the group's albums(minus Robin) in 1970. Barry played lead and rhythm guitar and sang lead vocals on most tracks. Robin just sang and his fraternal twin Maurice played keyboards. At the time of recording and release,Robin and Maurice were only 17 years old and Barry was 21. I dedicate this to the memory of Maurice Ernest Gibb(December 22,1949-January 12,2003). Petersen and Melouney stuck with the Gibbs for a couple more years then left leaving the Gibbs to carry on as a trio.

It's The New Album By The Beatles...Er The Bee Gees!

According to many sources, The Bee Gees initial 1967 single "New York Mining Disaster 1941" was labeled as "BG" artist. The music buying public assumed that "BG" stood for "Beatles' Group", thinking it was a new song from The Beatles! Sure, that song along with the other hit "To Love Somebody" could have easily been recorded by The Beatles.

Overall, I enjoy this album and do recommend to all fans. Very entertaining.
