Description: Proving yet again their willingness to dice 'n' slice their burgeoning legacy into new--if not exactly fresh--product, the Fab Four Minus One have released this single-disc compendium of their No. 1 hits. Though obviously superfluous to the faithful (who may also find themselves quibbling over the precise definition of "No. 1 hit" and the exclusion of seeming contenders like "Please Please Me" and "Strawberry Fields"), newly arrived visitors from the Pleiades star cluster and other neophytes will find it a concise and generous (nearly 80 minutes) single-disc introduction to the band's career-spanning, unparalleled dominance of pop music in the 1960s. But beyond being a mere trophy case of commercial success (and it won't be hard to find critics who'll argue that these singles aren't even the band's best work), it's also a
Cliff's Notes take on a remarkable seven-year run of musical evolution, one that stretches from the neo-skiffle of "Love Me Do" through a remarkable synthesis of R&B, rockabilly, Tin Pan Alley, gospel, country, and classical that still defies efforts to effectively deconstruct it. This is the pop monument equivalent of the '27 Yankees and '90s Bulls; it's every bit as obvious and dominating--and just as essential.

Reviews:
For people who wants to know The Beatles
This may not be the whole compilation of The Beatles' album, but this CD is suitable for those people who doesn't know The Beatles (I'm referring to the new generation people). This CD will justify itself how did The Beatles became legendary in the music industry up until now. The good thing about this CD is the booklet. I'm very amazed about compiling different vinyl cover of each of their songs. A must have album for a fan or a not-fan of The Beatles....
Great introduction to the Fab Four
Listening to this isn't so bad. It gives you an idea of what Beatles albums you want to buy. After I heard this I got a copy of Please Please Me, A Hard Days Night, and Help! And I enjoy those far more than Rubber Soul and Revolver. My favorite songs are: I Feel Fine, Ticket To Ride, Get Back, and Hello Goodbye. If you really like the Beatles then I would recommend the EP Singles Collection. That collection has all their major hits.
Have a musically challenged friend?

3. Pull out the crap from the CD rotation (examples include but aren't limited to Ashlee Simpson, 50 Cent, and Nickelback).
4. Throw this CD in rotation.
5. Flip on the repeat option.
6. Sneak out of house without getting caught and hide evidence well.
7. Give it some time.
8. Talk to your friend. See their positive reaction about this great music that they surprisingly discovered. Listen to them rip apart their music of the present and help them realize that they did indeed discover one of the most influential bands, if not the most influential band in history. Whatever you do though, DON'T slip out that you were the "culprit".
9. Watch as friend changes music tastes and searchs for other great "Beatles" albums like "Rubber Soul", "Revolver", "Sgt. Pepper's" and "Abbey Road".
10. Repeat with other bands/artists (examples include "Michael Jackson", "Prince", "Jefferson Airplane", "The Doors, "Led Zepplin", "The Cars", "Madonna", "The Police", and for measures to prove not ALL music of today is bad, "Velvet Revolver", "OAR", "Audioslave", and "LCD Soundsystem."
