Description: Mexican superstar Thalia has come a long way since her early '90s days as a thin-voiced Latin pop-tart. Her stellar 1997 album,
Amor a la Mexicana, was a full-throttle assertion of her maturing talent, thanks in large part to va-va-voom production work from Emilio Estefan Jr. Things heat up even more on
Arrasando, the singer¹s most focused collection to date. Thalia and Estefan blend salsa, rap, reggae, cumbia, and aggressive club beats into one irresistible mix. Just try to keep your feet still during the infectious rhythms of "Regresa a Mi," "Pata Pata," and "Siempre Hay Carino." Thalia proves equally adept at ballads, particularly on the majestic first single, "Entre el Mar y una Estrella." The sexy singer has already recorded English-language tunes for overseas release, and now that she¹s dating Sony president (and Mariah¹s ex) Tommy Mottola, crossover success seems only a few hip swivels away.

Reviews:
A WORK OF ART
This CD is as good as Spanish music can get. Songs like Pata Pata, Regresa a mi, the title track, and especially Rosalinda, are classics that you can listen to anytime anywhere. I love running on a treadmill cranking it up listening to her. Thalia might be the best female singer out today, whose name is NOT Sherrie Austin (And I don't speak Spanish). This CD is her best, and ever song but 1 is 10/10. A must have.
VERY AWESOME CD!!!
I have just purchased another copy because the other one was old from so much listening. THE SONGS ARE GREAT. IT ALSO GOT A LATIN GRAMMY FOR BEST ENGINEERED ALBUM.
Was Not That Great of A Cd
First of I would like to start off by saying that I have known Thalia since 1995 because My brother owns a couple of her cds. In chirstmas of 2000 I got this cd from Thalia and when I opened it up chirstmas day and put it in my radio I was dissapointed. I only liked 5 songs and after sometime I landed up giving it to my brother because I was going to bye Con Banda Extios but never did and now I wm going to get her Greatest Hits because she has alot more good songs now. It was rated by Amazon.Com only 4 stars but maybe some people liked the whole thing but I was not one of them. Stick to her Greatest Hits cd and stay away from this one unless you really need to have the words to sing along with her music because shes got them on this cd like her previous. But if you can Live without the words to sing along with then stay far as possible from this cd. Uggg!!!!! Malo Disco. Malo!!!!! 3 stars for the five songs I liked but nothing more.
