captures the spirit of rebellion

The Russian release (Dvesti Po Vstrechnoi) is more genuine (in a heartwrenching way) than the English release (200 Km/h In The Wrong Lane). The album has an urgency like fighting back when things become absurd, even though the world is a thousand times stronger than you, but fighting back anyway like you know you're going to win in the end. The message is in the voices; Yulia and Lena sing with conviction. If you have a chance, I also recommend the flydream remixes (not included in this album) of some of the tracks.



um movies that i would classify in this rebellious genre: Freeze Die Come to Life (1990), Walkabout (1971), Butterfly Kiss (1995), Spartacus (1960)



the music style is a mixture of electro-dance-pop and grunge ... a combination of dead or alive, elastica, veruca salt, prodigy, orbital, dj tiesto, alizee, planet funk, avril lavigne, girls against boys (sort of, but more emotionally charged than), kirsty hawkshaw (sort of), garbage (sort of)

Music that transcends language barriers

Whether you listen to this in the original Russian or in the English version, it has a catchy ,infectous sound which is testament to a genuine musical quality.

You can listen to the Russian version with not knowing a word of Russian and because of the emotion and energy skillfully conveyed by both the vocals and the instrumental arrangement, it is still very enjoyable.

The packaging of the group as Lesbians was probably, like it or not, a marketing necessity to introduce the Russian pop group to the US audience. I say this because while TATU are clearly talented, they still have not yet attained the musical level of say, Russian pop artist Kristina Orbakaite, (same genre of Russian pop) who is all but unknown in the US. Ultimately, people will forget the Lesbian issue, and the music will stand (or fall) on its own merits.

All in all, a good album.

This CD was the BOMB !

ok ima guy i dont go much for all that techno stuff but one of my friends like them alot so i saw the CD online so i ordered it. that was the best thing i ever couldve possibly done!



I was into rock/trance/hard rock and i put the first song on listened liked it and then i put a song called 'Ya Tvoy Vrog'that made me so energetic it was so awesome and then i listened to the rest of the CD every song on it is awesome im not ashamed of listeing to it at all Now im in love with them



so whether your a boy or a girl get this CD i prefer it better then the english version
