Reviews:

IS this still in print? Nice remixes, fans may be baffled

I recall that when this CD came out ther reaction by the fans of Talk Talk was one of horror. And I must admit, as a Talk Talk fan it WAS pretty odd that a band who had been moving away from any sort of dance music (if early hits like "Talk Talk" or "Its My Life" can be classified as dance music, which I think they can) to come out with this.

Of course, the truth was that EMI did the remixes without the band's knowledge and a big rwo ensued after this album's release. Basically the band did not want to pay for remixes they did not approve.

However (!) in the end I find this to be a interesting, well done remix album. There are a lot of nice mixes here, love the Fluke remix for example. One needs to enjoy this album as a mid 90s dance music example and not so much as a Talk Talk album per se.
