Taking Back Sunday's "Where You Want To Be" is a phenomenal followup to "Tell All Your Friends," which everyone seems to have done, as their popularity just keeps growing. Like with Good Charlotte, people seem to go to the review section with their primary objective being to bash the band because they don't like that type of music, what they stand for, or whatever. Most people who write one-star reviews have never even heard the album they're reviewing, save having seen one or two overplayed videos on MTV. If they say they've heard the album and hate every song on, citing reasons like "it was contrived and unoriginal" or "all their songs sound the same" ... they probably haven't heard it. No one's songs all sound the same. Except on Utada Hikaru's album "Precious," that all sounded pretty much the same. Anyway, I digress. Pretentious punk wannabes with holier-than-thou additudes will go on for days about how bands like blink-182 and the like (read: bands who've made it) are ruining punk rock. Yeah, maybe that's true, maybe it isn't. Either way, this for sure isn't the place for that kind of discussion. Punk isn't about stopping other people from liking what they want. If you think you're too hardcore for any type of music, then don't listen to it. Play something you like and shut up. On an album review page, no one wants to hear the opinions of someone who's had an obvious bias against what they're reviewing, probably since before they'd even heard it. That's what a blog is for. If someone is on the Taking Back Sunday page, they most likely: A) already like them and plan on buying an album, or B) are just there to spam the review forum. So anyway. If you like emo, buy this kick-ass album, and don't let a hater bring you down. If you don't like emo? Get the f*@% out of here!
aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!
i am fed up of this, this is to review the album not how much you hate emo!
this album is brilliant not as good as tell all your friends however it is an amazing album by taking back sunday a well deserved 4 star album.
so everyone who hates emo should pull their head out of their a**, grow up and ask themselves why i am being such an idiot?

They Should Be Jailed For Selling Out So Bad
Why did these guys get so popular? WHY??? If you think that bands like Eighteen Visions, Atreyu and Underoath sold out, you are dead wrong. These bands sold out in 2004:
My Chemical Romance, Green Day, and Taking Back Sunday
Also, this CD is a big disappoinment compared to "Tell All Your Friends". Not many people knew of TBS when "Tell All Your Friends" was released. The band was much better with the Jesse Lacey backstabber John Nolan in it. (I don't hate Brand New.) Anyways, "A Decade Under The Influence" is a great post-hardcore song, as well as "Number Five With A Bullet". "This Photograph Is Proof" is decent, but it's just not the same TBS that no one knew about.
Anyways, the TBS scene needs to stop. In my high school, someone did some project for art class, and they plastered the band Taking Back Sunday on there. Thanks to him, everybody knows who they are. I hate it when bands sell out like that. Not even Atreyu is sold out. There are only 3 people in my school with Atreyu shirts, and there are even more with My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday shirts.
