Reviews:

Sublime is Better Than this...

Sublime was a band from the late 80's to the early nineties who made music for the sheer joy of it. They brought the sounds of reggae/ska beats together with alternative rock. In their career, they put out three albums that would later be named classics in the world of punk- 40 oz. To Freedom, Robbin' the Hood, and their self-titled CD. This compilation reflects the most tasteful tracks from all of those albums, yet is not better than any one of them.

The remastered versions of the songs to very little to improve the originals-- the "raw" sound was what made Sublime special. Though I have to admit, the remastered Badfish is sick.

It should've been more than just 10 tracks, though. What about the other songs they play on the radio (40 oz. to Freedom, Pool Shark, and Caress Me Down). There's just too much missing here.

Despite these flaws, this CD is good for new fans of Sublime who want to get more acquanted with their biggest songs, but has very little to offer older fans who already have the other Sublime CD's.
