Reviews:

Classic Words&Music By Sting

Sting truly Nailed a Gem with this Song.it touches on so many levels&still Sounds Great to this Day.it's from 1987 from the last time I liked a Sting Album all the way through.this Song Captures Words&Music Solidly here for me.

RE: A Voice for the Voiceless, Nice write-up, wrong song

The song that speaks of Pinochet and his crimes is NOT "When we dance," but rather "They Dance Alone (Gueca Solo)," which appears on Sting's 1987 release "Nothing Like the Sun."

The Voice of the Voiceless

It is a tragedy that crimes against humanity go unnoticed this late in the 20th century, but they do. Unnoticed until sometime refuses to turn a blind eye. "When We Dance" is a beautiful, altruistic song written by Sting that gives a voice to those victims of one man's indifference to human suffering. Augusto Pinochet was a name foreign to my ears before I heard this song. But what is most devastating is that I was ignorant of the cries of those tortured and killed by this man. That this should go unnoticed by so many people is inexcusable.... If Sting should chance upon these words, may I say to you sir, thank you. You have proven yourself not just a wonderful song writer, but a true humanitarian as well.
