This was before the remixes came to rule His singles...

The singles (or mini-albums) from (and before) Mercury Falling were actually all mostly interesting, feautering "rare" songs that were edited from the album(s) like for example on this single; This Was Never Ment To Be (song from the movie "The Grotesque" casting Sting and his wife, Trudie - good song by the way). Yes, there are several EP's coming from the release of Mercury Falling - You Still Touch Me is another of my recommendation (two new, previously unreleased songs there as well - and good songs too).



This was before Brand New Day (a great album no doubt about that), but the remixes on almost every single released, of almost every sing on it (Desert Rose, After The Rain... and so on and on and on...). Also the countless remixes from his resent album, Sacred Love, irritates me a little - remixes are ok for simple pop/hip hop/rap-music, not music of the Sting-kind, or at least not so many - and usually, in my opininon, it is almost always the original that matters. Remixes can be really boring actually.



But, as mentioned, this single belongs in your Sting-collection!

I HATE THIS SONG !!

I hear this damn happy song at work atleast 10 times a day!!! I hate it..... it is the worse Sting has ever put out!!! I'M NOT HAPPY!!

The Title Track Is The Weakest One

I love this CD though, don't get me wrong. It seems as of late Sting likes to write his best songs on his CD singles, like the CD single "You Still Touch Me". That song is weak but the rest of the CD is superb. Why does he do this, Mercery Falling was filled with mediocre songs at best but his CD singles songs are great. Take the song "Giacomo's Blues", a 4 minute instrumental of pure bliss that would make Miles Davis jealous. I don't like where Sting is going with his music but buy this CD single right now.
