A must for any SERIOUS Stevie Wonder fan

And that's not to say that this is a plug and play disc. It isn't. A (very) few of the cuts are almost what I would consider to be bad. Some are marginal. But the vast majority are absolute classics.

There are some very socially conscious songs here. (Like that's a surprise) And some with great emotion. My personal favorites have to be 1) Never had a dream come true 2) Blowin in the Wind and 3) A place in the sun.

Essential is a perfect name for this collection. Can't go wrong.

Not Quite Essential

As a lifelong Stevie Wonder Fan if you want his early greatest hits 1963-1971 and a few sirprises,then Do Yourself A Favor and buy this! However,If you want a better collection with no filler(songs put on to take up space)then search for a collection called "Looking Back" and educate your mind. By the way a great collection his later material(72-75?)is Musicquarium Volume 1. there hasn't been a vol.2 yet.
