Reviews:

Amazing ... pop to bring you back to that trash filled genre

well, i know 3 of the 5 songs on here, Album mix, Thunderpuss, and (i think) More To Life. (the CDM i have has Bounce Back and Until I Find You, neither of which i like; i'd rather have this one)

this song grabbed me by the ears and dragged me back to the world of pop music i've been avoiding for the last half year or so since Jewel's Intuition single. it's very catchy, and i love it for no particular reason, other than it sounds good. (at least More To Life is a good song with some positive/hopeful lyrics, but this... is just good and i don't know why)

not only that, but of all the CDSingles that average to be around $8, this is the only CD that i'd pay that amount for, however this is less than a combo meal ANYWHERE these days. especially if More to Life is the album version...

i love itttttttttttt

oimg i love this cd i got it for christmas at bereans i got soo lucky cause everywhere else were sold out or exspesive i love stuck thunder puss remix it has a good beat and its like my favorite sond of hers besides gotta be more to life man i am gonna jump up and down now cause i have this cd hehe im not selling this tem and i will never be tire of its beat plus it has like a bible study and a stuck music video and struck rythmic mix and stck album version

Well grounded pop star with a stunning voice

In an age when female pop stars are being forcibly made to act and dress far beyond their years, it's refreshing to find a girl in her teens making mainstream music about topics that are appropriate to her age and keeping her clothes on. Stacie Orrico is that wonderful `new' talent that we can only hope is beginning of a new trend. I put `new' in quotes because the 18-year old songbird has been a commercial singer since the tender age of 14 in the Christian music industry. Her affiliation with Christian music may account for some of her conservativeness, but she's still her own person who makes her own choices, and she wouldn't be the first purportedly devoutly religious female singer to start singing raunchy tunes while half-naked (Beyonce is a good example of that). Fortunately, so far, Stacie seems to have a great deal of respect for herself and understands the message she's sending

Stacie's self-titled album has already has released a few singles that are starting to see appreciable airplay on mainstream pop radio stations. Her first single, "Stuck", is a wonderful example of a good song that is sung about subjects appropriate for a high school girl (unlike someone like the appalling Jojo, who is only 13 and singing about kicking cheating boyfriends to the curb). "Stuck" is the classic yarn about a girl who is hung up and being led on by one of the popular guys who sees her more of a trophy and doesn't treat her very well. Her scorching chorus, "I Hate You, but I Love you. I can't stop thinking of you" speaks the words and is imbued with the emotion that many teenagers have felt in the stressful relationship game. More than even the words, though, it's Stacie's outstanding vocal talent that makes this song soar (as well the others on her album). "Stuck" reveals a nuanced and powerful vocal range that can fit comfortably in many different musical genres from R & B to Pop to Gospel. The strength and message of this song just hints at tip of the iceberg of this extraordinary talent.
