Description: Shania Twain--recluse, happily married, mother of one--has sold more than 40 million albums with flirty, hook-laden, beat-heavy, country-tinged pop that has all the subtlety of a musical wet T-shirt contest, yet is as irresistible as Swiss chocolate and Pringles. There are a few heartfelt, moon-in-June love ballads on this generous and long-awaited 20-song collection, which includes three new songs along with all the predictable chart-toppers and near-chart-toppers. But it's the mostly nonstop, uptempo booty-shakers--too often with garish overproduction and vapid lyrics--that, for the unconverted, tend to run together after a while. No doubt, this relentlessly upbeat retrospective will keep Twain's millions of fans jumping up and down on their sofas. --Bob Allen

Reviews:

All the hits are here...

I think the title 'Greatest Hits' is very appropriate. Twenty-one tracks is very satisfying to the customer, and not a single hit is missing. The new songs are worthy to be released... as I'm sure they will become hits, too.

The Immaculate Collection of the Country !

Shania Twain is the best in the music country nobody it has arrived as far with music country as her, his new single Party For Two is excellent, all the songs of the Cd are art, clear the best are those that come from its Album Come on Over and Up! that they are very amusing,Of The 2 new songs Don't! it is very Beautiful anything Compared with the failure of Party For Two, the best of all is From This Moment it is magic, good alone I hope has good sales because this collection is very good and complete, all we should have it, the same as that of Robbie Williams.

The very best and beyond

Shania Twain debuted on the country music scene in 1993,but there are no tracks from her debut album on this one. Let's give the credit to her husband, producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange for keeping his wife's career strong. FROM THIS MOMENT ON from 1997's COME ON OVER does not have Bryan White joining her as he did with her on that Grammy winner. It's basically the same recording but minus White's vocals. Also there's THAT DON'T IMPRESS ME MUCH,also from COO,but in dance form, ideal for nightclub play. Other COO tracks are the ass-kicking MAN! I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN!,YOU'RE STILL THE ONE,HONEY I'M HOME and DON'T BE STUPID. From 2002's UP!,is the title track,FOREVER AND FOR ALWAYS and I'M GONNA GETCHA GOOD. From 1995's THE WOMAN IN ME is YOU WIN MY LOVE which kicks ass. New tracks include DON'T,I AIN'T NO QUITTER which is rockabilly-flavored,and two "party" songs, one each with a different guest artist. The other tracks are great!
