HE'S BA-A-A-A-CK!!!

Here in the U.S., we stopped getting new product from Shaky (as he's known to his legions of overseas fans) in 1983 with "The Bop Won't Stop" CD. This volume, correctly titled "The Hits of Shakin' Stevens Volume II," carries on from that point (and after "Greatest Hits" and "The Hits of...") with his U.K. hits on Epic. It is a very good sampler of those later hits.

It includes two songs from 1982's "The Shakin' Stevens EP" (not released in the U.S. - although not the live versions from the EP), "Josephine" and "Que Sera Sera" (a rockabilly update of the Doris Day 50s hit). It also includes his U.K. #1 hit "Merry Christmas Everyone" and his #5 U.K. hit remake of "What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For?" as well as the rest of his U.K. Top Twenty Hits up to "Radio" from the 1990s.

If you like Shaky and could not get any new material since 1983, like me, you'll love this CD. If you don't know who Shaky is or only know his earlier hits, you'll like this CD, too. If you just like old-time 50s style rock and roll, you'll like this CD. I think there is something for almost everyone in this CD. Try it... you'll like it!! I highly recommend it.
