Reviews:

Singers ego got in the way of metal might

Saxon should have been huge in the flood of the NWOBHM, but singer Biff Byford's ego got in the way. He claimed that they were better the both Maiden and Def Leppard, I think not.

With that said this is a good showcase of their songs. Remasterd and with two bonus tracks [*] this is a great cd that shows what this band can do. Metallica opened for them in San Fran in 1980 during their "Denim & Leather" tour. So thay have been around.

If you are looking to get into this band try this as well as "The Eagle Has Landed" Parts 1 and 2, and "Wheels Of Steel" if you like good 80s British Metal you will like this.

the original was great...this is even better!

Not only do you get a superior live album from a superior live band, you get it the way it should be: remastered for the highest possible sound quality & more of it with bonus tracks! This band has always be overshadowed by its more high profile brethren, but musically they've ALWAYS rocked!! Get this immediately, metal fans! It surprises me how many metalheads have never heard this classic band! The more people I turn on to them, the more that WANT to hear them; they've just been denied the opportunity! See 'em live if you can; they STOMP!!
