Reviews:

Another good one for Sam!

It is quite surprising to see Sam release yet another single, her sixth since "Gotta Tell You". However, this song is beautiful, and although it won't be her best chart-topping single, it is still a great release for her, probably her last before her follow-up album is announced.

I bought this single mostly because of the video, since they won't play it in Quebec... The video is quite nice, although it is very simple and repetitive. The colours are flashy and Samantha looks like Janet Jackson with her long hair. I prefer energetic videos like "Gotta Tell You" and "Baby Come On Over", which enhance Samantha's young energy.

The remixes are also worth the buy, with Track #2 being pretty clubbish, but very interesting.

Needless to say that "Lately" being a slow, gospel song, it was a risk trying to turn it into a club mix, but they did it amazingly well. Track #3 is a particular techno remix with a beat that actually makes the song sound like a 80's hit.

Another great release for Samantha Mumba, well worth a listen, and a buy!
