While S Club may not be my favorite pop band, they have beat out the competition with this song. This one caught on at first hearing - and I had not even heard it from the beginning. I was camped out on Radio Disney until it came on again. Lucky for me the song ended with "S Club beat" because the radio dj did not say who the song was by. The cd single was in my possesion the next day.
All I can say about why this song has rocketed up to number 1 as my favorite Feel Good song is because it has something to do with the beat and it's rhythm patterns. While I have many feel good songs I enjoy, not many pack such a potent punch as this one. Groove Is In The Heart by Deee-lite are perhaps the last song to vibe like this one.
As for the remix included on the single, it does not do this song any justice. What I would really want is an extended version of the original version. While the remix takes up the tempo and follows the original rhythm patterns it seems to take away from the "feel good" vibe that the original version has.
GIVE ME MORE! This song is infectious and totally a thrill from begining to end. The problem is, it's too short. Don't give me a souped up remix by Hex Hector or Soul Solution. I want an extended version.
S Club 7 may not be the best group around but they sure hit a bulls eye here. This song kicks off like Madonna's hit single; Music and drops into gear from there and sends goosebumps from my head to toe. I cannot sit still with this one, it is a compelling little pop song that makes me want to dance and sing and get up and do my thing.
As for the remix, FORGET IT. It does not do anything but diminish the fun and thrill! Like I said, Hex Hector nor Soul Solution could not make this song any better and I don't think this song is Club material but it is definitely a Party anthem! Just give me an extended version. Or just me remix it and I will make it myself!
