Great memories

I got interested in Roy Orbison by listening to a friend's mother's 45 collection as a kid. Even in the third grade something about Roy's music got to me, and for the next twenty years I looked fruitlessly for recordings. In college I stumbled across a collection of Roy's newly recorded greatest hits and was thrilled to find that the voice I loved as a kid was still in top form after all those years. Roy passed away soon after that and it seemed that whenever I went to the record store a new compilation would be in the racks. I bought everything I could get my hands on, and this was one of my favorites. I even chose Roy's recording of "Evergreen" as the song my wife and I danced our first dance as husband and wife to. These budget collections were great, and put the soon to arrive box set to shame.

Great thing

This is certainly one of the best compilations of Roy's less known Monument work ever. Well, less known with notable exceptions of Goodnight and Yo Te Amo Maria, which were minor hits or flipsides of big hits (at least in Europe). Sleepy Hollow is my second favorite Orbison song (right after The Actress - see Rare Orbison). Roy's music helped me to get well after my severe knee operation in 1989. Those songs were always right in there for me. Thanks, Roy and y'all - listen to this.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful of Roy Orbisons albums.Get out the kleenex when you listen to MAMA, sleepy hallow, Love star You will Cry.A must have for any Orbison fan.
