Somewhat Pointless

This oddball compilation contains *most* of Roy's 1967 LP ROY ORBISON SINGS DON GIBSON, and *most* of his 1977 LP REGENERATION. The obvious question concerning the song selection is, why not include ALL of the tracks from both LPs? That's not the biggest problem with the CD, though. It is obviously taken from vinyl, and the Don Gibson tribute tracks are taken from a worn-out mono record at that, giving them that tinny/muddy sound. The REGENERATION tracks sound better, but Roy collectors would still be better off hunting down good vinyl copies of both albums than investing in this CD. Beware of similar compilations with different titles.
