So after years of singing rock trash, you turn back to the great body of songs that were recorded by the great ones before you, and you think you can do just as good a job as they did? WRONG, Mr. Stewart. And so are those musical morons who exclaim, "awesome!", "smooth", "way to go".



I say to you, stuff it! Geez, go back to school and finish your Music 101, you bunch of imbeciles! You are all beyond musical redemption.



And so are you, Rod Stewart. To hell with you!

Rod Stewart is a performer for all musical eras and he proves this with his latest offering. For more than 35 years he has been at the forefront of musical trends and this album is no exception.



With "It Had To Be You" Rod demonstrates his musical versatility, and once again leaves his critics dumbfounded. He effortlessly moves between musical styles and is one of a select group of artists leading the way back to the wonderful lyrics and melodies from the past. The musicianship demonstrated on this CD is wonderful and the song selection and production are impeccable. You may not agree with Rod's interpretations of these tunes, but there is no doubt it is definitely Rod Stewart. This is just another side of him as he heads in a different direction. His tasty interpretations of these classic tunes are proof that these beautifully written songs are truly timeless.
