Description: This 79-minute disc documents Rammstein's live shows from mid-1998. The band's performances include powerful theatrics and pyrotechnics (lead singer Till Lindemann even sets himself on fire), but even without the aid of visuals, this CD is a faithful representation of their explosive energy. Songs "Rammstein" and "Sehnsucht" receive appropriately raw and straightforward readings, while "Bueck Dich" comes gloriously alive with audience interaction and additional electronic rhythms. Also benefiting from the fiery live setting are "Du Hast" and the beautifully mournful "Engel," where the audience enthusiastically joins in on choruses. Aggressive drama is the most obvious feature of this recording, but quieter moments such as "Wilder Wein" provide effective dynamics and pacing. Flake's creative keyboard work, one of Rammstein's most distinguishing features, is generally more prominent in these live versions. The guitar licks of Richard Kruspe and Paul Landers are thick and tight, while drummer Christoph Schneider thrashes away with loose precision.

Reviews:
Absolutely Amazing Album!
This is my favorite album by Rammstein. It's a compilation of many of their hits, but most of the tracks are from Sehnsucht. They are absolutely amazing live, and it really comes through in this album. I have Sehnsucht, but I actually perfer this album, "Live Aus Berlin" to the Sehnsucht album.
Don't think twice about purchasing this CD; it's worth every penny!
Live aus Berlin....is it an album or a WORK OF ART?
I just don't know what to say. It's too much for me. This album is musical heaven. But to that piece of work who wrote that one-star review, before you go badmouthin rammstein fans, have a look at the 62 other 4 and 5 stars.
Spiel Mit Mir - 10/10 - An awsome intro and melody, but such a perverted topic, although the song itself is so good that I dont even think about the topic.
Bestrafe Mich - 9.5/10 - Not much better than the sehnsucht version, but I love when the crowd sings along.
Weißes Fleisch - 10/10 - This song is so explosive and energy-filled, im speechless. But who the heck said its nazi? What is every song thats not about peace and love, automatically nazi?
Sehnsucht - 10/10 - This is a good song. Nice and fast-paced. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Asche Zu Asche - 10/10 - Indeed, one of the best songs on the album. I love when the guitarists light their microphones on fire.
Wilder Wein - 100/10 - Songs like this are the kind that make this album a work of art. Just beautiful.
Heirate Mich - 9/10 - Not bad. Not bad at all.
Du Riechst So Gut - 10/10 - Classic rammstein.
Du Hast - 8.5/10 - This song is overrated. It's still not bad though.
Bück Dich - 10/10 - Very energetic. The crowd really comes alive in this one. Especially later in the song....
Engel - 10/10 - Another one of those slow-paced beautiful songs.
Rammstein - 9/10 - This song really isn't that special, but I like it cause the lead singer lights himself on fire.
Laichzeit - 10/10 - Very weird topic. It reminds me alot of eifersucht. Other than that,it's good.
Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen? - 10/10 - I love when the lead singer throws around those sparks.
Seemann - 10/10 I couldn't think of a better way to end this concert.
Overall Album - 145/150 96%
Nothing much more to say besides GO OUT AND BUY THIS ALBUM RIGHT NOW!!!
the best live album i've ever heard!
Actually, I'm not 13 but i'm sure everyone knows the drill by now.
Anyway, this album captures the ferocity of the songs even better than some of the original releases. The songs from Herzeleid especially sound 10x better live. Usually I don't consider live albums for my industrial/metal collection, but no joke, this is a must-have. Plus, Wilder Wein is part of the set list, one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, second only to Seemann. After this, I will definitely have to check out the dvd.
