"We Will Rock You" edition?

First, I want to admit I have not listened to the CD. I just got back from seeing the We Will Rock You show in Las Vegas. The show has songs this disc does not have, and the disc has songs the show does not have. The WWRY tag on this disc is just marketing. Two essential songs missing are Radio Ga Ga and No One But You, which the show uses as a tribute to Freddie. I will buy the 3-disc set.

Before I start, I'd like to note that QUEEN IS THE GREATEST BAND IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE.

Now that I've said that, I'll start on why the album is only 4 stars instead of 5. This is the British Greatest Hits Collection with some other live songs on there too. The live versions, although still great, were not well chosen. It could have been better.

You're best off buying the UK Greatest Hits.



Also, PLEASE buy the GREATEST HITS II. This collection is very misleading in that it only includes the first half of their career.

The original 'GREATEST HITS'

Hello! The original version of Queen's 'Greatest Hits' has finally been released by itself (outside 'The Platinum Collection' and 'Greatest Hits 1 & 2' box sets) in the US. This compilation includes every Top 30 Queen single from the first 8 years of their career. Hence, the exclusion of classics like "Keep Yourself Alive" and "Tie Your Mother Down", both superb songs, but neither a hit and therefore not included on the 'Greatest Hits' album. The tracks were handpicked by the band themselves, and must I remind everyone that the original 'Greatest Hits' release, with the exact same tracklisting as this one, minus the bonus tracks, went ELEVEN TIMES PLATINUM! The downside is that this CD does not include the original packaging and artwork, and the liner notes are not as interesting as those in the US-only releases, 'Greatest Hits' and 'Classic Queen'. Sound quality is at an all-time high on these remasters, and the single version of "I'm In Love With My Car" is finally on available on CD.
