Reviews:

Greatest Christmas Album Ever Recorded

The Christmas album of all Christmas albums. I'd give it 6 stars if Amazon would let me.
My original 1959 LP is full of scratches and hisses, but every Christmas I take it-and the turntable-out and play it over and over. Only now have I broken down to buy the CD.

Perry was the King of Cool. This is how Harry Connick, Jr. wishes he could sound. (No offense, Harry).
There's something for everyone: the first half of the album is popular, non-religious Christmas songs but the second half is mostly a medley of old Christmas church standards linked by Perry's narration of the Christmas story. If you're a fan of the "good old days", you'll say to yourself, "This is the way Christmas is supposed to be."

I concur with my fellow Baton Rougean...Mr. C at his best!

Forget Celine, Forget Justin, expel J-LO and forgo Britney...Perry Como at Christmas is like Santa down the chimney! For fans of good music of which there are many, this CD is a musical horn of plenty: Perry swings and sings oh so smoothly, and with those background singers this CD is positively groovy. So when you're setting the mood and you want to do it right, put on Perry Como on a cold winter night. And for those who find criticizing my review so easy, please be informed that I'm being intentionally cheesy!

The Best Christmas albumn

This is one of the best Christmas collection of music and Perry Como is the best (sorry, Bing, I like you too, but not as much as Perry!) I'm 46 years old and this albumn was on of the first ones I remember listening to at Christmas time. The rendition of "Winter Wonderland" is very dear to me, because I remember hearing this a lot in the department stores when I was very young and Christmas shopping with my mom. Perry Como had such a beautiful voice and it is at his best in this collection. Buy it, you won't regret it!
