Reviews:

After this album a dynamic duo was born

I've been into Outkast's stuff for 4 years now and as a true fan, I buy every album they put out. The word play and rhymes are off the chain and the beats are great to listen to. Tracks 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15 are some of the best Outkast songs you'll ever hear. Big Boi and Dre are a great duo. A great debut for the best rap duo of all-time!

The Original "Dirty South " Hip Hop Sound

From the first I ever heard "Player's Ball" 13 years ago til now, I have loved every cut on this Original Dirty South album. This album for me is about transition. I was a senior in high school when it was released and a freshman in college when it blew up. I can't help but reminisce about all the good things during my freshman year. I always drift away to Freaknik '94 (The Best Ever) when I played this CD the entire day; along with 100,000 other HBCU students in ATL. This CD will definately bring back good times. It you like Outkast....this is a must have in your collection.....You need to get out and get something!

U need to 'git up git out' and get this album!

First off can't believe theres' only 60 some reviews of this hip hop classic....

This is Outkast at their earliest stage...Andre and Big Boi were only 18 when the majority of this album was penned and produced....Their first hit "player's ball" was released in late 93' and became an instant classic....They topped the RnB and hip hop charts and became the biggest rap group to come out of the south.....

I gotta admit Outkast seemed much more laid back and hungry on this album....They weren't quite as introspective as they would be on their later albums, but you still get a clear look into great minds of Andre and Big Boi....

This a great album to blast during the summertime, when your down south, or really anytime....Theres so many memorable tracks on this album starting from the intro "smoke a dime"....The production is on point like all other 'kast albums....Stand out tracks include spcm, player's ball, funky ride, claimin' true, git up git out, crumblin' herb, and hootie hoo...But like all other Outkast albums its perfectly cohesive--which is the reason all Outkast albums will forever be loved and remembered...
