Reviews:

Great Nazareth CD

This came out in '82 when I was A wee Lad of 12 winters, I remember my uncle and his friends playing several songs over and over till I completely memorized them, "Boy's In The Band", "Take The Rap", "Back To The Trenches" These songs were great Nazareth tunes then and still are today, my personal favorite today is "Games" which I think is a classic Nazareth song that sounds as it could have recently been released, this is a must have CD for all Nazareth fans, buy it now and forever enjoy great rock music.............

The masterpiece of 80-Rock Nazareth

After their successful live double album SNAZ Nazareth cut this exiting studio album. Besides the two studio tracks on SNAZ (Juicy Lucy and Morning Dew) this was the first (and only) time they recorded as a 6-piece band.

New young guitarist Billy Rankin from Glasgow (Scotland) braught in a lot of great compostions such as "Love leads to madness", "Dream On", "Games" or rock`n`roll songs such as "Take the rap".

But not only Billys songs where great. Original guitarist Manny Charltons "Boys in the band" became a classic and a great live rocker for many years. All this is spiced with the creativity of new keyboard-player John Locke. His work on keyboards gave the recording a very smooth and own sound that makes this album so unique.

From the hit-opener "Love leads to madness" to the last kick-drum hits of the mystic "Mexico" this album is filled with exitement, fantastic sound and great variations of exellent songs. Really no filler ones here!!! And it still sounds fresh even today.

Like on every album singer Dan McCafferty really stands out again. His great voice once more proofs that he was and still is one of the most underrated singers in the world. Just listen to "Dream On".

For someone who loves good Rock music and is not totally into heavy-metal sound (for thouse "Hair of the dog", "Razamanaz" or "No mean city" would be the better choice) 2XS brings great pleasure, no matter if you are at home, driving in your car, or anywhere else...

Very Good Album

I bought this record on the island of Guam when it first came out. And I have to admit, This is one of my favorite Nazareth albums. I am glade that it is available on CD. A must if your a Nazareth fan!
