best of the best

...not much to say here than this- Michael Bolton is in my opinion the best male voice in the music industry - its sexy and strong and his best hits here are great! Missing some great duets that should be included here (e.g.THIS IS THE TIME)its a must if you like love songs! beautifull collection!

Well, at Least it's Not Called the "Essential" Collection

After all, who on the Creator's green earth needs this? I never understood the appeal of this guy, and have made every effort to do so. He appeals to a lot of women, but I just don't understand why. Touted as the darling of adult contemporary radio, people claim they like to "relax" to his "romantic" repertoire. How do you relax to a guy who screams everything like he has irritable bowel syndrome?

It's downright insulting how he obviously thinks that he can cover songs better than the original artists, and that's mostly the embodiment of his entire career. Sad, really, because he's delusional if he thinks he can improve on Ray Charles' "Georgia" or dare to attempt "Nessun Dorma" with that voice. Sarah Brightman gives this song far better treatment.
Also, what he doesn't cover, he steals ("Love is a Wonderful Thing," for example); what he writes that doesn't aggravate a lawsuit is pathetic ("Do You Wanna Touch Me...There?" RE: Are you kidding?)

I don't like to do bad reviews, but Michael Bolton is the modern day Tom Jones, except the latter was easier on the ears if no less annoying. Even when Elton John sold his soul to Disney, he was more respectable than this. This is pure corporate crap at it's worst, but people keep shelling out the dough. It ensures that the "essential" collection can't be too far behind. Unfortunate, really, because there's no such thing.

Wonderful

I really thought A Woman Like You was the best of all Michaels CDs till Vintage. I LOVE this cd and hope that he makes more like this. He just sounds so good. My son introduced me to the world of Michael Bolton and I'm going to buy this cd for him for his birthday. I have almost all the cds.
