Drama Over No More Drama

+AH4-Well, as this is my first review, I will try to keep it simple. This was the lead single and title track off of Mary's albom. It's worth the $12.99, but not the real cost after shipping. *You would think with jacked up prices like Amazon's shipping would be free.*

I digress. This is one of those Cds you're gonna pay full price for, because everyone already bought all of the cheaper copies.

This single contains the 9:17 Thunderpuss Anthem of the song. The Anthem is AMAZING if you like+AH4-+AH4- Thunderpuss, Mary J., or Energy in your music. The mix runs 2:00 of samples and loops for DJs to mix into it. It pauses for a moment then starts a lightly remixed version of the song (Thunderpuss.com should have a sample of that part). When it's done about 2-3 min. into that, it loops her stating "I'm About to Lose My Mind"x3 sings "Lord Help Me Help Me", then the backbeat's changes to high energy dance and it flows for about 2-3 more minutes and allows music for DJs to mix out.

You+AH4-+AH4- can find a very good edit of the Anthem on This is Ultimate Dance, if you don't want to deal with the beginning/ending parts that the DJ didn't play in the club. I edited it down myself w/my CD Burner by starting the recording at the first pause and by fading out the ending.

Even if you don't buy this single, you should definitely get a copy of the anthem either on Ultimate Dance or one of the many other places you're probably gonna see this song. DJs are just gonna have to bite the bullet+AH4-+AH4- and but this version if the mix with CDs.+AH4-

This is the German cd single that I'm sure most people are buying because it features the 9:17 mix by Thunderpuss of "No More Drama" which is all DRAMA in its remix form. It starts out fast then the hip hop of the original kicks in with Mary J. testifing to her fans of her new found sobriety and then the music picks up one more time and all gospel hell breaks loose. One of her best songs ever as well as one of Thunderpuss' best remix efforts ever! Just gorgeous.

Mary J. Blige - Remixed by Thunderpuss!

Who knew that Thunderpuss (Chris Cox and Barry Harris) could remix the Queen of Hip Hop Soul and pull it off so spectacularly? Well, they say miracles do happen, and I am proud to report that they did an incredible job! Thunderpuss gives the gritty song a housed-up groove that's unmistakedly their sound, but also nicely compliments Mary J's soulful voice. There's also the dynamite original version produced by Jam and Lewis, but the highlight is definitely Thunderpuss's remix. Bravo to Mary J., Cox, and Harris!
