You can hear a Marvin Gaye song over and over again and never get bored...
And in this album which is possibly a diary of Marvin during his last years alive, it can be seen as a concept of sorts or even a new album despite the showing of "Sexual Healing" and some of the songs from the Midnight Love album but it also provides some of the session work for that album plus some songs recorded while Marvin was still a Motown artist (of course some of the songs here were featured on the records, Romantically Yours and Dream of a Lifetime--albums released a year after the Prince of Soul's passing).
All in all, it's a brilliant record with a mixture of soul singing, preaching, poetry, jazz, reggae, classical, funk, R&B and soul itself...
Marvin Gaye is forever the King! NUFF SAID!
