If Need A Friend...Listen to this song!

This is my FAVORITE Mariah song ever! Oh goodness, I have listened to this song over and over for like ever. This song has seen me through some very hard times. I love the gospel feel of the song and I recommend this song to anyone who is lonely and or depressed. It's a great pick me up.

Must be a number one

I can't believe that this terrific song, didn't reached to the number one, thats so bad. I think that this song is much better than "One sweet day". To me, this song (One sweet day) is her most succesful hit, but not his best song, she has better songs like this or "So blessed" from "Emotions", I also think that both songs are her best ballads to date.

I'd give 5 stars, because I love the song, but overall, it earns just 3 stars, because I didn't like the remixes, The dance CD is much better, but rarer than this issue.

By the way it contains "Music Box" Another amazing ballad, but It isn't so good like "Anytime you need a friend"

One of Mariah's best singles!!

"Anytime you Need A Friend" is perhaps Mariah's most underrated single. Though similar in music/lyrics to the incredible #1 hit "Hero", "Anytime You Need A Friend" takes a little more of spiritual side to it. I always liked this single ever since I was a little 3rd gader when it first came out. This is pure soul right here. I like how it goes from depressing-like verses to a powerful refrain, not to mention her signature upper-octive notes towards the end. It's a shame "Anytime You Need A Friend" didn't go to #1 (but it came close), because it's one of her best singles. Why aren't there any good songwriters like this out on the charts anymore? all we hear now is filth like Nelly and Vanessa Carlton. Definately reccomended to all Mariah/non-Mariah fans. A+ Oh yeah, the title track from her "Music Box" album is incredibly beautiful as well. It's a favorite of one of my friend's and will make you put it on repeat as well. :)
