Reviews:

i forgot how good machine head really are

i've been a huge fan of machine head ever since thier fisrt album ''burn my eyes''. with every album they put out they never seem to disappoint me. even the not so much liked ''supercharger'' is still in my eyes a great album. every album they release is filled with hard hitting drums and raw guitar riffs complimented with anger filled vocals. machine head is like no other metal band out there because they stay true to thier own style and sound. don't try to mimic all the other types of ''nu-metal'' bands. i know that my review is not foccusing on this album but in my opinion its not necessary to do so because every one of thier albums is worthy of a five star rating and should be given a serious chance by any metal head. machine head puts out a classic metal album with each release and i hope they continue to blow me away. check out all MH's albums because each one of them has it's own unique way about it, but still holding the kick ass machine head label.

Incredible

"Burn My Eyes" is far and away Machine Heads best album. While "The More Things Change" and "Through The Ashes Of Empires" are both solid albums, this is where Machine Head made their mark on the metal world. This album exemplifies everything that metal should be; heavy, fast, raw, gritty, intelligent, and with excellent musicians to boot. Rob Flynn also turns out an impressive vocal performance, his growls are intense and furious, and his clean voice (when he chooses to use it) is very good as well. This album is a milestone metal album and is without question MH's defining work. If you havent already, pick it up immediately.

Machine Head Makes Posers Run For Their Money

This is a masterpiece. A great masterpiece. Machine Head knows how to play metal. Boring death metal bands like Deicide and Carnal Forge can just bown down to their new god.

"Davidian", the first track I've ever listened to by these guys, made me realize that corporate radio sucks. This is some brutal stuff that makes radio listeners rectify their terrible taste in music. "Old" is also a classic track. This whole CD is great. This is one of the top CD's of 1994, along with Pantera's "Far Beyond Driven", Corrosion of Conformity's "Deliverance" and Korn's "s/t".

Also, don't listen to the recent one-star review. E. Kettle is a loser who thinks that he's cool by thinking that mall kids suck (malls are indeed evil) and feels like it's cool to diss on good bands like Machine Head, along with Atreyu, Killswitch Engage and such. Why doesn't he just listen to Creed, because he is not cool. All the bands I've listed are talented. It's just that Hot Topic is making the bands way too popular.
