Reviews:

Another awaited Decca Satchmo LP re-issue on CD...

Although it would be nice if Verve would re-issue Satch's 4 LP Decca session "Satchmo: A Musical autobiography" on CD, this "I Love Jazz" re-issue will have to do for now. Satchmo and the all stars featuring Jack Teagarden shine on 9 tracks(one previously un-issued bonus track), only a handful of Satch vocals, but plenty of spirited trumpet solos. With original LP art coverwork, and Satch singing the title track alone is a joy to hear. An excellent addition to any jazz fans collection.
