Armstrong(trumpet/vocals), Earl Hines(piano), Jack Teagarden(trombone), Barney
Bigard(clarinet), Arvell Shaw(bass), Big Sid Catlett(drums) and the happy always smiling
Velma Middleton(vocals)...they were called Louis Armstrong and his All Stars, and they were
a class act.

Enjoy this "LIVE CONCERT" performance on the stage in Trieste, North Italy(November
9th, 1949), each track gives the listener an experience of having a front row seat...so here
goes the stand outs ~ "BLACK AND BLUE", a Fats Waller tune that has Satchmo's
signature, in his natural habitant he thoroughly gets into the swing of things..."BODY AND
SOUL", always a favorite standard among the jazz groups, classic arrangement that only
Armstrong & his All-Stars provide..."HIGH SOCIETY", this my friend is pure enjoyment, he
is truly an "Ambassador" through his music, takes us under his wing and gives us shot in the
arm everytime.
