LESS than Jake... no LESS than 5 stars
LTJ`s best album by far. It has the perfect blend of ska and punk, whih makes hello rockview enjoyable for everyone.
1. Last One Out Of Liberty City - 8.5/10 - fast song, cool bass in begining, great way to start the album.
2. Help Save The Youth Of America From Exploding- 8.5/10 - fun song, i like the way it starts out soft but then really kicks in
3. All My Best Friends Are Metalheads - 10/10 - well known by any ltj fan, great ska guitar and great horns.
4. Five State Drive - 10/10 - great ska song, catchy horn melody
5. Nervous In The Alley - 10/10 - 1rst song i heard by ltj, and i loved it, once again great horns and also the organ in the backround
6. Motto - 8.5 - punk sounding song w/ good guitar
7. History Of A Boring Town - a personal favorite, another outstanding ska song, w/ catchy lyrics

11. Theme Song For H Street - 9/10 - similar song to others but a good mix of ska and punk
12. Richard Allen George...No, It's Just Cheez - 7/10 - wierd, but, in a way, funny. i think they were drunk when they wrote this song.
13. Scott Farcas Takes It On The Chin - 10/10 - not as well known, but my favorite ltj song. it shows the real talent behind their music, a great ska song.
14. Al's War - 9/10 - not any ska, but a great song. a great album finisher.
The Best Ska Album Ever? No just overated Ska!
When I heard people raving about how this album was so good I had to buy it. After hearing Losers, Kings, and Things my expectations were quite high. When I heard how good History of a Boring Town and Scott Farcas were and when I heard them for the first time I was upset. The real problem with this cd is that all of the songs sound the same. The ska feel is still there but the vocals and the horns sound exactly the same. Yes the songs are good and some are awesome but this cd runs together so badly. Every songs sounds the same, yes every song! This cd bores me everytime I listen to it because this album was supposed to be good, this was a major upsetment. When I read these reviews it makes me sick, it's like the only good ska bands out there are LTJ and Reel Big Fish. If you listen to more than five bands then you would find ska way better than this.
However this album isn't a complete bust. There are two stand out tracks. #1, and #6. I have to listen to this cd about once a month or else I get tired of it way to fast. If you want better ska get a Mustard Plug or a Hepcat cd. Basically this album is like watching Pimp My Ride, it's ok once in a while, but that's it.
The Punkiest most ska album ever!
