Beautiful voice
if you have the spanish or italian version it doesnt matter.its still Laura's Biggest Hits.I love all her songs on here.she hits a note its beautiful.her voice is soft and emotional, its beautiful.you can't just yell a note out and there u got a hit.NOPE.u gotta put emotion and feeling into the song.first song i did hear was the spanish version of "Tra Te E Ill Mare" which is "Entre Tu Y Mil Mares" which is a splendid song.so beautiful.and then i heard "E Ritorno Da Te" in spanish "Volvere Junto A Ti" which is her newer hit on the album but its just lovely.then i heard the other songs and i was really blown away by all the music and just really her voice alone.u cant compare her to other singers but just like the others, she stands alone.
Doesn't come close to the fantastic Giorgia
Greatest hits? Or just a bunch of cheesy pop songs? This album is not too bad, but by no means is it anything special. Laura's voice is husky and phlegmy and gets annoying after a while. You find yourself wanting to hand her a kleenex so she can clear her throat. If you want Italian music that's polished and mature, vocal strength that will absolutely blow you away and lyrics that will sing to your soul - Forget Laura Pausini. Forget Mariah, Whitney and Celine. GIORGIA is your best bet. Not only is she the most talented female artist and song writer in Italy, I'll make the brave statement of saying Giorgia has THE most stunning voice in the world. Laura Pausini can't compare.
la meravigliosa Laura
This is my first Laura Pausini CD, but certainly won't be my last; it is an exceptional compilation spanning the years 1993 through 2000, though the early ones have been updated, and read "2001 version".
"Seamisai (sei que me amavas)" is a duet with Brazilian singer/songwriter Gilberto Gil from Laura's 1996 "Le Cose Che Vive" CD, and she sings one song in English, from the soundtrack of the 1999 Kevin Costner film "Message in a Bottle", and it is exquisite, and features the great Dean Parks on guitar.
A winner of many awards, Laura won first place with "La Solitudine" at the prestigious San Remo Festival in '93 when she was 19 years old, and third place with "Strani Amori" in '95.
Laura's voice has a tender and smoky sound when singing softly, and has a powerful high register which she uses masterfully (in this respect she can be compared somewhat to Celine Dion) and her pitch is perfection...it reminds me of a tennis player hitting the ball in the sweetspot of the racket...Laura hits each note in its sweetspot.
The arrangements are lush and beautiful, and many of the songs incredibly lovely, and could not possibly be sung better. The booklet insert has all the lyrics, recording info, and many photos of the doe-eyed Ms. Pausini. The sound is terrific and total playing time is 66'24.
