Reviews:

AWESOME ALBUM!!!!!

This is a great album from the heavy metal band Korn. It includes three great songs from their Greatest Hits Vol. 1 album (Right Now, Did My Time, Y'all Want a Single) as well as many other great songs. This album is a perfect mix of screaming metallic fusion and sad hurtful lyrics to make a great album. I've written a review of each song with a scale from zero to ten, ten being the highest, zero being the lowest.

Right Now: 10/10. This is my favorite song on the album.

Break Some Off: 4/10. This is kind of a stupid song.

Counting On Me: 8.5/10. This is a cool song, but after you listen to it for a long time it gets a little bit boring. It's a good song, though.

Here It Comes Again: 7/10. It's alright. It has a cool intro.

Deep Inside: 6.5/10. I like this song.

Did My Time: 10/10. Awesome intro and the chorus is great.

Everything I've Known: 5/10. It's okay.

Play Me: 6/10. This song has two verses performed by the rapper Nas. I'm not a fan of rap music, so other than that, it's a cool song. The chorus also features Nas.

Alive: 7.5/10. Overall it's pretty good. Jonathan Davis has a nice, deep growl when he keeps saying "A-Live A-Live A-Live..."

Let's Do This Now: 5/10. Has some boring bagpipes in the intro and the rest isn't that great.

I'm Done: 5.6/10. Not their best, but it's alright.

Y'all Want A Single: 10/10. My second favorite song by Korn and one of their best.

When Will This End: 8/10. Cool intro and chorus.

One (Live Hidden Bonus Track)8.5/10. It takes a long time to get to this track, so you might want to fast-forward your CD player to about ten minutes or so after "When Will This End". Once you get there, it's pretty cool. And yes, it is LIVE.

BOO!

I got this as a gift from a friend and unfortunately they gave me the clean version. Like my favorite song on this cd is ya'll want a single, but i hate listening to it on this cd. They bleep out about every word so it sounds like J.D is just screaming jibberish. The only really good song on this cd is Did My Time which can be heard on the new tomb raider movie. Next time i hope one of my friends gives me the real version cause this one is just crap!

Heavy and AWSOME!!!!!

Hi, my name is david pierre and i ordered this new cd by korn.....an it rockd. It was the heaviest since there 1st cd. It was so awesome...at first i didn't know what to ecpect caus it was not releassed yet,,but when i got it....wow...it was fricken awesome. It was so heavvy and finaly a return to there rootz. from right now all the way to when will this end...what a jurney...the best song would be counting on me....it was just the best one and one of the most heavviest out of all. thank you ...this got 5 STARS!!!! And u get a dvd like deuce but way shorter!

Huh, Duh?

"One", the Metallica cover, is live. I usually wait til I have a cd to review it. And I have it and it is good. Very different from other stuff but moving in a positive direction. The true test of a musician's talent is their ability to change. My favorite track is "y'all want a single". This album is a testament to korn ability to stick around. Very good CD purchase it now.

Korn's best cd since self titled, "KoRn"

This cd, by far is the best Korn cd available. It's their new one entitled "Take a Look in the Mirror" It's not yet available as it is going to be released on Nov.21st, and it's only Nov.20th. But, I have heard it, because I downloaded it in advance about 3 weeks ago. Still, I will purchase it, So don't give me any guff about downloading and blah blah..I've reserved a copy of it and I will be BUYING it (special edition version) tomorrow.
This cd, contains 14 tracks, the 2 singles, Right Now, and Did My Time, and then other great songs. One, including my personal favorite, the song "One" which is a Metallica cover, only, this one is a STUDIO VERSION, not a LIVE version like the one heard on the DMT single.
If you liked the cd single for "Did My Time", as a teaser for this album, you'll LOVE the real deal "Take a Look in the Mirror" It is by far the best Korn cd since their very first self titled one, It goes back to the hardcore days of "heavy."

Not as good as 'Untouchables'

Humanity gets seperated into 3 groups when it comes to KoRn; #1. The People That Love them to death and really relate to Davis' hopeless lyrics, #2. The People (like me) who really don't like the lyrics, but love the sound of the band, and #3. The People who just hate (no pun intended) their of style of hate-filled nu/rap metal.

I really don't like buying a 'Clean' version of a cd, only to pop it in my compact CD player with headphones, and still be able to hear the cuss. I WANT THE CUSS TO BE SO WARPED THAT YOU HAVE LITTLE TO NO CLUE WHAT IS BEING SAID. KoRn's previous 'Clean' versions of their albums were edited horribly, thanks to Sound Forge I was able to fix that myself. 'Take A Look In The Mirror' has been edited a little better than the other albums, but still not as good as I would have done it. The actual musical is one step lower than 'Untouchables' in my opinion. And Jonathan tends to use deep growls more this time around. I miss the creepy little child voice he uses all the time. I give the cd 4 stars.

Cussing on a cd just shows how imature some people really are. Our English language has hundreds of other words we can use besides swears. It's about being a better person, and letting go of past hurts. Davis still seems to complain about his difficult childhood on here, when will he get over it and write about something else? Something more interesting? I hope he finds peace someday soon and his torture stops.
