Reviews:
better than i thought
i heard the safe ep before this one, and the live tracks on that sucked a lot, so i didnt have very high expectations with this one...but the live tracks are awesome-r than i was expecting on paperdoll..AND of coarse the paperdoll remix...Yay for it because it is very good and has noise in it than the original (by noise i mean more guitars and other noises, like weird clowns laughing and stuff, the remix is the best part of the cd,but its all good)
it rocks!
Morgans voice live is kick a$$! It's alot different from what it was on the album, she has a very powerful roar live! I like the remix even though it really isn't one. It's JUST like the origional one that kittie used to perform when they had tanya.
Kittie rocks!
I love rock. It kicks some serious butt. But it's becoming really hard to find a band that really has it and isn't generic. Kittie has a combination of metal and evil glare kind of lyrics. The guitars and the drums don't become overpowering like most rock bands that play rock just for the sake of playing it. Kittie's pretty original. It really takes some guts to be a girl band among guys in leather jackets who think you're not going to make it.
Ok but not great....
The reason I give this CD 4 stars is because of the Paperdoll Remix. It's much better then the album version. Harder and much more "Kittie" sounding. The other songs on the CD are all live and they're ok. Morgan's voice sounds more like it does on "Oracle" rather then on "Spit". I wouldn't recommend this CD pretty much only if you're a huge Kittie fan. It's a better buy then "Safe" however, that's for sure.
Paperdoll [EP] [ECD] [edited]
It's an ok cd. It has the same songs on it that Spit does but 5 are live and then there's a remix. Morgan really has worked on her voice which we hear on the Paperdoll remix. I don't like the edited part though.
Very Good
This really is a great ep. Way better than "Safe EP"
- The "Paperdoll" remix is great. It's a lot faster and heavier than the original. Even though the original is really good, i love this one more. Morgan sounds great on this track
-The live tracks are very good. The screaming is a lot more mature and brutal than on "Spit", which is a great thing. Morgan's singing is really pretty. The small complaint that i have is that she did a little too much screaming, it would be better if she did more singing, but it's not a big problem.
Overall, i think they did a great job on this ep. If you loved "Spit" and are a hardcore Kittie fan (i'm proud to say i am) you should get this :)
