a breath of fresh air!

Kelis' new CD Wanderland + bonus track is something new. it's fun. the songwriting is great. her sound is something new. no doubt appears on this record, and so do a few others who compliment Kelis very well. My favorite songs are:

Shooting Stars - this song is just pure soul - amazing.

I Don't Care (which is the last hidden track on the CD) - a Jimi Hendrix vibe is going on in this song, it's the "Just Dont Give a F-" of the CD

this c.d. has an overall space/carnival/fantasy vibe to it. i predict this CD will amaze many music fans.

MY GIRL TAKES US TO WANDERLAND!

INTRO (10/10) - Another funny intro. Kelis takes people on a tour through her Wanderland. She's yelling at people and stuff and erthang. Then it turns into the song, letting the games start with a new beginning.



YOUNG, FRESH N' NEW (9/10) - The electric riff and hand claps lets Kelis get loud. How some things are stopping you from doing what you want, run away and be young, fresh n' new.



FLASHBACK (10/10) - One of my personal favorites. About how she met this guy during summer, but this song is a flashback of how they met. She gets a little sexual in this song: "You make me come... alive". An enjoyable summer jam.



POPULAR THUG (10/10) - Pusha T of clipse has his part. She really liked this guy but how he acted made her wonder. She wouldn't have talked to him if she'd known he was a popular thug.



DADDY (9/10) - Kelis somewhat raps in this song. She can't rap but it's cute. I know all the words. It's about how a good girl like her gets a guy that the opposite of her. Also, this beat is the same beat Truth Hurts used in her single "Addictive."



SCARED MONEY (10/10) - This song sounds like a number captain hook sang in the original peter pan. It's about how you shouldn't be scared of her because scared money don't make none.



SHOOTING STARS (10/10) - The romantic "you're heaven sent" track with Pharrell along with the hooks and verses. Very laid back. At the end, Kelis redoes the rainy day melody "Rain, Rain, Go away". Absolutely genius!



DIGITAL WORLD (10/10) - The pop/hip-hop track with electric Neptune sounds. Roscoe is featured in this song.



PERFECT DAY (10/10) - Along with No Doubt's Drummer, Kelis goes rock and sings how much of a perfect day it is and she's laying around, going no where fast. Very nice!



EASY COME, EASY GO (10/10) - I'm not exactly sure what's going on in this song, but it's really good.



JUNKIE (10/10) - That one person you're addicted to. Only Kelis is in rehab singing this song. LOL



GET EVEN (10/10) - Another "Caught Out There"-like song. About that one girl who gets your man, but Kelis isn't gonna get mad, she's gonna get even.



MR. U.F.O. MAN (10/10) - I don't know who the heck John Otsby is but he sang pretty good with Kelis about needing to speak to Jesus and how we need help on earth.



LITTLE SUZIE (10/10) - Kelis is pretty much in confession in this one. She's letting the kids know that everything will be alright, God opens windows, next he'll open doors.



SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT [LIVE] (9/10) - The live rock version of this song. It wasn't too bad, but Kelis needs some voice lessons. Don't get me wrong, she's my favorite singer ever, but it wouldn't hurt to take singing lessons for a year or two.



SPOT (10/10) - THIS IS MY JAM RIGHT HERE! This song isn't on this album so don't get excited. I don't know where it is but I hope they release it soon on somebody's c.d.

Vocals & Sounds

Pharrell and Chad really have a star on their label. I don't know why she hasn't blown up in the industry. Her music is like beautiful poetry with beats from the masters of sounds, the neptunes. This album is a definite buyer, unless you are going to download it. Either way, get it. She has a new album coming along with the Clones album and a new N*E*R*D album. All are gonna be getters, so stay on the look out for 'em.
