Reviews:

Another Maiden classic!

This is Iron Maiden's last album w/ Paul Dianno. This is great stuff, though. The title track is "killer". I think it has some cool lyrics and guitar playing. Other great ones are "Wrathchild" and "Purgatory". Most fans of Maiden will enjoy this, so buy it!

By far the best Iron Maiden album!

This is the best Iron Maiden album ever. I never manage to listen any Iron Maiden CD with Bruce Dickinson from the beginning until the end - just because all songs sound like each other and none of them remains in the memory - its just a "metal chewing gum"! But this one is a masterpeace - I want to listen to it over and over again, and all tunes are constantly in my head. DiAnno RULES !!!!

Classic

The childhood of Iron Maiden. If you are a Maiden fan this is great to hear and it is still one of my favorites. this is the childhood of a great "Metal Band"

And now comes Bruce...... Iron Maiden grows up :-) "Number of the beast"

Life before (and after) Dickinson

There was life in the undead Eddie long before Bruce Bruce became Maiden's "Air raid siren"! Di Anno's fronted Maiden broke in the UK after playing pub gigs and small shows. Featuring not one but two instrumentals and a host of creepy, hauntingly melodic pieces, Killers is Maiden showing their musicanship to the world as a true rock band. Murders in the Rue Morgue, loosely based on the E.A. Poe story and Killers carefully construct scenes of despair and inner torment without being overly fast and aggressive musically. The band understood that punk was dying if not dead and made the necessary adjustments on this album, but still pay tribute to their roots with "Wrathchild". You get the full range of Maiden's talent without suffering from one member outshining the other. This is one of the most competent Maiden albums you can find, just after breaking with their debut album and before the mega success of Number of the Beast. Evolution and cash flow were necessary and the addition of one of the greatest and most influential vocalists in metal Bruce Bruce (Dickinson) cemented Iron Maiden's place among the best.

Not Bad

I have been listening to, and loving Iron Maiden's music for some time now. But I wouldn't recommend people to buy this cd. There isn't anything wrong with it, just that it was a very early work made before the band helped define the speed metal sub-genre with lightning fast riffs and throaty vocals.

stuck in Purgatory, can't escape

Best Iron Mdiden CD ever made. Purgatory is my favorite track, and the CD flows together nicely. If you like metal, this is one of the necessary CD's to own- it's a classic, pure and simple. Iron Maiden was so great it spawned copycats like Queensryche and Mercyful Fate. All good bands, but Maiden was started in 1976!

TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Killers is now my favorite Maiden album. Before I purchased it, I just bought Bruce on vocals. I was skeptical, because alot of Maiden fans don't like Paul Di'anno. I bought it anyway, just to see what he sounded like. And I have to say he has one the greatest heavy metal voices of all time. This album also introduces Adrian Smith on guitar after Dennis Stratton left. There is absolutely no filler I loved every song. If you are a fan of Iron Maiden or just like good old 80's Heavy Metal than this should be an immediate purchase. If your new to Maiden you may want to listen Bruce Dickinson first, to get used to thier sound. Then get this killer album.

well, I don't know what to say...

I was so very disapointed, I never heard of Iron Maiden before, but this album ain't good. I should give it one star, but because of 'Wrathchild', i give it 2 stars. Don't buy this one, buy other album of Iron Maiden, cause I know some other IM-albums that are very good. BUT THIS ONE SUCKS!! It really isn't so good as some reviewers say it is. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
