Reviews:

Better late than never.......

I bought this album ages ago, fell in love with it, then forgot about it for a few years! I recently went through my music collection, found it again, only to be disappointed that the disc was so scratched from being overplayed. I bought it again. By far the best INXS album. Yes, there were many 80's classics, but they were all spread out on different albums. This one has a unique flow, with a few classics:

Not Enough Time

Communication

Taste It

Baby Don't Cry

Beautiful Girl

Highy recommended. I have to agree with another reviewer who said this was "criminally overlooked."

COME ON IN EXPERIMENTALISM

I bought this album back in 1992 when i was 15 cause i was into INXS at the time. This was the music i was growing up to.This was probably their most experimental album up til then. Can't say i liked it more than X which was the first INXS album i heard but it's probably better in terms of inspiration and musicianship.

shoulda, coulda, woulda

This album should have been terrible. It could have been a rehash of everything that came before it. That would have been sad. Instead, INXS somehow adopted a new attitude and sound and became trail blazers again. Too bad it didn't catch on like it could have. I agree with other reviewers who say this is INXS' most consistent album (although I think "The Swing" gives it a run for the money). Unfortunately, I don't think they toured for this record. Maybe that's what killed it. "Full Moon, Dirty Hearts" was a disappointing follow-up.
